On the southern side, another range stretches from the Afghanistan border to the Indus River, just above Thakot, marking the division between Allai Valley and Nandhiar and Deshi.

Spanning an average breadth of approximately 12–15 miles (19–24 km) and covering a total area of 200 square miles (520 km2), the valley’s landscape is adorned with lush forests that gracefully drape the mountain slopes, particularly prominent at the eastern end.
