Mushkpuri Peak also called Mushkpuri Top is the second-highest mountain in Galyat. Located in the Nathiagali Mountains of District Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Mushkpuri Top hiking trek is the second-highest hill in Galiyat on the Dungagali-Ayubia. This track is also known as the pipeline track. A pipeline was installed to supply water to Murree, Pakistan’s busiest station.

It is located 90 kilometers (56 miles) north of Islamabad in the Nathia Gali section of Ayubia National Park, just above Dunga Gali.

Mushkpuri Top Height

This is a safe 3-hour trek to Mushkpuri Top which is the second-highest hill in Galiyat at 9452/3150 meters above sea level approximately. The trek starts from the Pines Hotel in Nathigali and winds its way through the picturesque green pine forest.

Hikers ascending to the summit of Mushkpuri are greeted with vibrant floral displays amid the lush green landscapes, especially towards the conclusion of the rainy season. A descent on the opposite side towards Dunga Gali unveils a panoramic view of the avian residents of Ayubia National Park below. This adventure may not be suitable for those averse to hiking, as it commences in Dunga Gali and meanders towards the Jehlum River.

Embarking on a journey to Mushkpuri Top is also feasible from Dunga Gali, making it an excellent outing for families looking to revel in the pristine beauty of the Galiyat pine forest. At the summit, there’s a small water source, and you’re treated to breathtaking vistas of the Kashmir Valley from Mushkpuri Top.

The track follows a pipeline from Donga Gali to Ayubia, which is 4 km away. Mushkpuri or Mospuri is a mountain of 2,800 meters (9,200 ft) in Nathiagali Hills, Abbottabad region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan.

It is located 90 km (56 mi) north of Islamabad, just above Dunga Gali in the Nathiagali area of ​​Ayubia National Park. Most of the mountain range is covered with coniferous forests of the Western Himalayan.

Pipeline Track Route

The Dungagali to Ayubia Track, also known as the ‘Pipeline Track,’ leads to Mushkpuri Top. This path traces a 4 km-long pipeline from Dunga Gali to Ayubia. At an elevation of 8,200 feet, this relatively easy trek typically takes about 40 to 50 minutes to traverse.

This route allows you to immerse yourself in the marvels of nature, experiencing elements like rain, fog, clouds, and captivating sunsets along the way.

In addition, Yellow Beaked Magpie, Red Blood and Yellow Body Bees, White Forest or Crested Gray Finch, and various other birds are a common sight on the way to Mushkpuri Top.
